The finish is created by applying several coats of dark lacquer by hand to build a rich patina. Boston is hand crafted so no two pieces are ever identical, a hallmark of our premium" collection. Drawer fronts are made from 18mm solid wood, drawer sides & backs are produced from 12mm solid Paulomia. Side panels are made of 9mm Ash veneered plywood with drawer backs and bases made from 3.6mm plywood. All processes on this range are completed by hand to replicate a rustic finish, this is a deliberate part of the manufacturing and finishing on this furniture, it does create inconsistencies which enhance the overall appearance.
